Vision: Where veterans flourish in their communities through camaraderie, compassion, and connection.

  • Veteran: A person who has served in the Armed Forces

Cadre: (kadrē) a nucleus or core group especially of trained personnel able to assume control and to train others; broadly : a group of people having some unifying relationship

  • One in 4 military veterans returning from combat suffers from depression, anxiety, post-traumatic stress disorder, or traumatic brain injury. They are at risk for substance abuse or, worse, violence and suicide. On average 17-22 veterans die of suicide every day.

  • Veterans are one of very few sectors of our society “who, at one point in their life, wrote a blank check made payable to The 'United States of America', for an amount of 'up to and including their life.'" That level of commitment and sacrifice warrants the application of our country’s finest resources to help reintegrate and welcome our Veteran’s back home.

Community - Camaraderie - Connection

We are interested in sharing opportunities for veterans, and their families to experience the 3C’s by way of: Drumming Circles - Mindfulness Activities - Tai Chi - Restorative Yoga - Meditation - Reiki - Directed Drawing - Writing Workshops - Hiking - Biking - Career Exploration/Assessment - Art Expression - Nutrition - All Things Dogs

Our Commitment

Veterans are one of the very few sectors of our society who at one point in their life, “wrote a blank check made payable to the United States of America for an amount of up to and including their life.'" That commitment and sacrifice warrants applying our country's finest resources to help reintegrate and welcome our veterans back home. The most critical part of the reintegration process is re-establishing personal "health and wellness," respecting and accepting SELF.

Whether issues present themselves at the physical, mental, emotional, or spiritual level, we are committed to finding and resourcing solutions that will ensure a Veteran is never confronted with the option of suicide along the path of recovery.

As we see it, veterans and family members should be afforded every opportunity (and beyond) to enjoy the fullness of life as well-adjusted and healed individuals who have survived challenging experiences. In many facts, veterans are a model for fellow citizens to emulate who may have also endured significant trauma in their lives. Veterans Cadre works within our communities and seeks to help people visualize how together we are a stronger community and healthier nation for having done so.
